Copies found in warehouse! This album presents a tragic and not uncommon rock'n'roll story about a band that should have been huge, but didn't due to greed and bad management. The Redcoats were formed in New Jersey in 1964 and recorded an album's worth of material between 1964 and 1967, that ranged from beat to pop sike. Other than a release on Laurie Records, 'The Dum Dum Song' b/w 'Love Unreturned' the material remained unreleased until the early 2000s. Once original manager Steven Rappaport (once a member of The Ran-Dells who had a minor hit with 'Martian Hop' in 1963 discovered the tapes, they were cleaned up and issued on this Bacchus Archives release. Fans of the early side of the Brit Invasion as well as West Coast garagepop bands The Palace Guard and The Merry Go Round will enjoy this release!
