Blending impeccable alternative rock influences from Sonic Youth to The Velvet Underground with freakier elements more redolent of the Elephant 6 collective, cult Wellington-based outfit The Garbage & The Flowers piqued a global interest in New Zealand's indie scene with their 1997 debut 'Eyes Rind As If Beggars'. A quarter of a century later, they release its formal follow-up 'Cinnamon Sea', a similarly psychedelic experience and a great companion piece to a near-mythical classic.
