Like a lot of Australian bands of the post-punk era, Crime & The City Solution had to travel to Europe to get noticed. They were formed by singer Simon Bonney right in the middle of the punk scene and could be filed alongside the Birthday Party and the Bad Seeds for sheer cinematic abrasiveness. American Twilight was their 2011 'comeback' record which featured members of the Dirty Three and 16 Horsepower backing up Bonner and friends.
