Juan Manuel González Mascías, artistically known as Miki González, is a Spanish-Peruvian musician. His second album, "Tantas Veces" was released in 1987, two years after the successful first album "Puedes Ser Tu", in a very difficult time in Perú due censorship, insecurity and terrorism. "Tantas Veces" mixes post punk, new wave and rock and has British influences. It includes various radio hits like "Vamos a Tocache" (song about a town known by drug lords and terrorism) and the enjoyable ska "Lola", a real story about a woman with many love affairs, "Ponte Tu Vestido" and "Tantas Veces". There are also dark and progressive tracks like "Primavera Especial" and "Solo Quiero".The Argentinan musicians Andrés Calamaro, Sebastián Schon and Cachorro López collaborated in this album and it was recorded in Avalos Estudios in Lima (Peru) and Panda Estudios in Argentina. The cover of the album is a painting by the artist Hernán Pazos. TRACKLISTSIDE AA1. Ponte Tu VestidoA2. Tantas VecesA3. Vamos a TocacheA4. Tiempo de NadaSIDE BB1. LolaB2. Solo QuieroB3.
