Jac Berrocal, David Fenech and Vincent Epplay return to Blackest Ever Black (Carla Dal Forno, John T. Gast) with the follow-up to their 2015 LP Antigravity. On 'Ice Exposure' (great title) the trio come up with a sort of Gothic jazz style that is as cold as the record's name. Imagine if The Birthday Party had ever allowed themselves to become untethered from pop song structures and cast off into the deep. Scott Walker's late period also springs to mind.
